Last night was unbelievable - the opening night at the Hollywood Bowl. Richard Carpenter and Donna Summer were the inductees. I got very sad that Karen Carpenter was only seen on video - she died many years ago at the age of 32 from anorexia. She put the disease on 'the map' - she used laxatives and lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks at one point. A Pisces, no doubt Karen had trouble dealing with her instant fame and fortune while brother Richard, a Libra, was hooked on Quaalades for a while.
Donna Summer - Dec 31st Capricorn - she was really amazing and was the perfect way to end the show along with the fireworks. The Hollywood Bowl was magical - we had a 3 course dinner in our garden box with the LA Phil Orchestra playing...living the sweet life!
Today's birthdays include Zoe Saldana, Paula Abdul and KathleenTurner.
