The day after the Academy Awards!

As predicted by me and pretty much everyone else, it was a fire day. Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, Kathryn Bigelow & Monique - Leos and Sags took all the awards home.  No surprises at all this year.  A very sedate, boring show really.  No political speeches or emotional break downs...is it because of the recession?

Great for women directors everywhere that after 82 years of the Academy a female director wins the Best Directing award!  Sagittarians are such trail blazers - Kathryn Bigelow no exception.   And with the Moon still in Sagittarius today, no doubt Kathryn will be on an emotional high all day.  Meanwhile the woman was born in 1951!  She's 60 this year!! Talk about one hot mamma!  I don't think she looks a day over 45.  What's her secret?  Happines maybe?  Doing what she loves and loving what she does...

Plans that were delayed in January or February finally move forward this week and this month. Domestic tensions ease up and you feel much more comfortable not only in your own skin but also with the people you share your time and space with. If you’ve been fueding with your flatmate about silly but vitally important stuff (to you anyway), you find a way to compromise that works for all of you. Same with your partner or family. You’re actually easygoing…imagine that!

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

Starting something? Easy. Sustaining it? Not so simple! Especially for topics and things that have obsessed you in the past. That’s why it’s important you surround yourself with go-getters. People who are ‘doers’ versus talkers. Capricorns and Scorpios are great people to ask advice from and seek out at work and in your personal life too. Friendships could be rocky and for those of you whose intuition is screaming ‘stay away’, listen up. Your communication radar is on point and you know who’s good for you and who isn’t.

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

Knowledge is power and will be your guiding light this week and throughout March. Your mind will be extra sharp and ready to absorb any and all information. Listen to your intuition too. Fresh insights of understanding about the world at large and your place in it will grab your attention at unexpected moments. Do have patience with those friends you feel have attention deficit disorders (or who have all the symptoms but are in denial!) You know you can be a bit spacey at times too.

Leo (July 23 – August 23)

Finally! You Leos can officially start your year now that Mars, the planet of energy, ambition and ‘just do it’ energy moves direct in your sign. As anxious as you will be to quickly move into high gear, there’s wisdom in taking baby steps. Being a fire sign, you like to light fires whenever possible. But remember, Mars has just gone direct, and could take a few weeks to sort itself out. Take it easy working out too. Don’t overdo the stairmaster.

Virgo (August 24 – September 23)

Investments, loans, company benefits, taxes etc etc. Money, money, money, that’s what it’s all about for you right now. Check and recheck your bank balances and make your budget even thriftier if you can. Snap up any opportunity to earn extra money which could come through working overtime at work, a friend or family member, a garage sale or selling your crap on e-bay. Don’t read too much into something either midweek. It’s not what it seems.

Libra (September 24 – October 23)

You’re on the adventure prowl this week. Exotic foods and men are on your ‘must have list’. Mars, the planet of energy and action moves direct in your eleventh house of friendship, hopes, dreams and wishes and you feel like getting into some mischief don’t you? Seek networking opportunities and make an effort for the next few weeks/months to add new faces to your facebook and circle of acquaintances. You’re the people person on the zodiac. You are a major giver. It’s time to take back.

Scorpio (October 24 – November 22)

Energizer Mars in your tenth house of career and ambition is great news for you girls. After hiding out all year, you finally feel large and in charge at work. For those of sick to death of work and ready to find something more challenging, you get the chance to jump ship this month so brush up your c.v. Don’t get discouraged if your work progress is slow either. It could be a gradual build until your picture shows up under the ‘Employee of the Month’ plaque. But it will.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21)

Something ends and something begins. That’s the way the cosmos and the Universe work things out and balance out our lives. And with Mars, the planet of action moving direct in your fifth house of self-fulfillment and romance this week, things are on the upswing. A fast upswing. Capricorn (December 22 – January 20)

This month brings with it an abrupt change of pace for you earthlings. Try as you will to keep on an even keel, you won’t be allowed to. Good news on the financial front though for those of you who don’t like too much excitement in your life. Ambitious Mars in your eighth house of joint resources and projects means that people (especially Aries and Leos) will happily give you free and very helpful advice about how to make money and /or hang onto the money you already have.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 19)

Relationships - which you have many varied and assorted types – begin to get back on track this week. Mars, the planet of aims and desires moves direct in your one on one relationship zone and for the next few months, you will learn and gain a lot by surrounding yourself with fab peeps. Leos and Librans are your cosmic rock of Gibraltar’s fyi. Unexpected cash is also in your cosmic forecast and that bag or jacket you’ve got your eye on has its eye on you too!

Pisces (February 20 – March 20)

Mercury and the Sun make you simply irresistible this week. You can talk your way out of or into anything and that means that you need to make sure you’re going to all that effort for a worthy cause. Take off your rose coloured glasses and be honest with yourself. Those of you born the first week of March have intriguing opportunities coming your way – be on the lookout.
